I had not intended to keep Kea. I have her full older sister, and figured I was good. But, she is maturing so nicely, and her sister is the fastest and easiest doe we have to milk, so I figured, why not? Unfortunately, Mauna Kea did not end up kidding as a 2 year old. She was confirmed pregnant, then absorbed the pregnancy, along with several other does that were due within a few days of each other, leading me to believe they all ate something that interfered with their pregnancies at just the wrong point of gestation. I am hopeful for it to go better when she is 3.
