Prima Wara Farms GZ Annalee x Sweet Blue Amazon Prime
DOB: February 27, 2026
Twins – 1 girl (doa), 1 boy
We were on the fence about breeding Annalee. When we got her as a yearling she was very small, and though she grew and was looking healthy, she was still smaller than what I would typically breed. The hope was that the hormones their bodies produce during pregnancy would help boost her size. It did a little I think, but it was still a really hard delivery for her, that required some serious assistance, and the little girl only took a few breaths. Annalee is recovering, and being a wonderful mom to the little boy, and she will never be bred again.

SG GraniteAcres WB Andromeda 2*M x Sweet Blue Amazon Prime
DOB: February 27, 2026
Single – 1 girl
I like to joke that Andromeda’s sole goal in life is to thwart me. I bred her to a friend’s buck, with the intention of keeping a buckling. So, of course she gave me a girl. In 10 years of having babies, the only other time she has given me a girl, is the last time I intended to keep a buckling from her. She had a pretty easy delivery, which is good since she went right after Annalee, and we needed no drama. Her doeling is a good size, and doing great.

GraniteAcres WB Hot Toddy 1*M x Sweet Blue Amazon Prime
DOB: March 1, 2026
Triplets – 1 girl, 2 boys
Toddy is an old pro at having babies. I checked on her when I got home from work, and she had no ligaments, and was talking a lot. (Not unusual for her to talk, but it was different from her normal.) We got her moved to the barn, and I went in the house to change into barn clothes. When I got back to the barn, she was laying down, and starting to push. Baby 1 popped out as I was getting my gloves on, and babies 2 and 3 followed quickly after. No pulling required, just catch, clear the face, and move in front of mom. The girl was really struggling figuring out eating, so after 24 hours of assisting, we just took her to be a bottle baby, and she’s doing really well. Both boys are strong, and Toddy is taking great care of them.

GraniteAcres SP Rainier 6*M x Bellafire SG Guitar Hero
DOB: March 4, 2026
Triplets – 3 girls
Rainier had an easy delivery, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. My friend stopped by to check on things, and got there just as she started pushing. We had been planning to take Rainier’s babies at birth, due to her tendency to have them die, so the babies were bundled up and taken home. They are doing well, so far, and I am cautiously optimistic that they will live.

GraniteAcres PH JenLawrence 2*M x Prima Wara Farms GZ Bengal
DOB: March 5, 2026
Triplets – 2 girls, 1 boy (doa)
This one started out easy, but sure didn’t end that way. When I got home from work, that familiar yell of a doe pushing out babies rang out. My daughter went to check on things, while I dashed in the house to get out of work clothes. Jen had the first girl out, and was busy cleaning her when I got there. A few minutes later the second baby came, no help required. I knew there was a problem, though, when she kept pushing, and no new bubble appeared. We had to call in help, and it took a lot of effort and time before the last baby finally came out. He had his head back next to his side, and was trying to come out with all 4 feet first. The 2 girls are strong, and despite the difficulty of getting the last baby out, Jen is doing really well. She passed her placenta quickly, and is taking great care of her babies.

GraniteAcres EC Delphinium x Prima Wara Farms RZ Bengal
DOB: March 6, 2026
Twins – 1 girl, 1 boy
Delphinium has only has singles in the past, and I told her if she didn’t have more, that she was on the line to be sold. When we ultrasounded her, we thought we saw 4, though they can always absorb some, which was fine with me. I prefer twins and triplets. She went all the way to 152 days, so I figured she must be having 4, and just cooking them extra long, but instead she had 2 very large kids. The buckling weighed in at a little over 5 pounds, and the doeling a little over 4. They are beautiful, and Delphinium is a wonderful mom, with way more milk than they need.

GraniteAcres EC Lyra x Prima Wara Farms RZ Bengal
DOB: March 7, 2026
Single – 1 girl
I was starting to think I had missed writing down a breeding for Lyra, because she was obviously bred, but was way past when I expected her to kid. A few hours before she kidded, I checked her, and noticed that her ligaments were softening and her udder was fairly full, but nothing seemed very imminent. I planned to check her again at feeding, but when I went out to walk the dog, I looked in the pasture, and there she was with a fully dry baby next to her. Both mom and baby are doing wonderfully.

GraniteAcres LS Galaxy x Bellafire SG Guitar Hero
DOB: March 23, 2026
Triplets – 2 girls, 1 boy
Unfortunately Galaxy kidded a little bit before my kids got home from school, and since this was her first time, she didn’t really know what she was doing. The boy didn’t get out of the sack in time, and one of the girls was alive when they found her, but was extremely cold. I was at work, so a friend came to help, did her best to get her warmed up, but it was already too late, and she passed not long after. The other girl is doing very well, and Galaxy is an attentive mom. Unfortunately, little girl passed. She was fine when we were playing with the babies one night, but when we were doing chores the next evening she had her head hanging and was panting. I suspect she inhaled some of the fluids at birth, and ended up with aspiration pneumonia. We immediately treated her, and I checked on her several times, but they don’t have much reserve to keep them going when they’re only a few days old, and she was gone in the morning.

GraniteAcres MB Aradia x Lakeview Acre TY OneOn W/Vodka
DOB: March 25, 2026
Twins – 2 girls
Aradia is an old pro, so I knew as long as babies weren’t badly positioned, they should be fine. When I checked her before leaving for work in the morning, I knew it was going to be that day. My son checked her when he got home from school, and said she was just standing and talking. When I got home from work a few hours later, I headed straight to the barn, and she had both babies out, and was calming cleaning them. I probably missed the delivery by 10 minutes. They are good-sized, and everyone is doing great.

Prima Wara Farms VH Anya x Prima Wara Farms RZ Bengal
DOB: 3/27/26
Single – 1 boy
Anya decided it was time when my son was the only one home. He loves the goats, but tends to avoid births, so immediately called me to send him some help. Anya is a small doe, and her baby was good sized, though not huge. My son did a great job while waiting for the help, and was able to apply a little traction to assist Anya with getting the baby out. Both are doing great.

GraniteAcres EC Ku’oko’a x Bellafire SG Guitar Hero
DOB: 3/27/26
Twins – 2 boys (1 doa)
Kua was showing signs of being close, but we had just about decided she wasn’t quite there yet, when she laid down and started pushing. Her first baby came out pretty easily, and she was busy caring for him, but didn’t really seem to be interested in pushing anymore. I could feel by bumping her that she had another baby, so we eventually decided to go in, and found a baby that had obviously passed a few days prior. Kua was sick last year when she kidded, and we had to pull her baby so she could recover and gain weight, but she is happy to be a mom this year.
