I absolutely love this dam line in my herd.  They are some of the calmest, sweetest does.  I knew when I did this breeding that I wanted to keep a doeling from this cross.  Rose is a gorgeous doe, but lacking a bit in mammary system, which Dewey should be able to improve. 

As a first freshener, Biscotti lost both of her babies as they were a little premature, and never took a breath. My schedule did not allow for me to keep her in milk, so she was dried up immediately, and didn’t have a lactation to really build and stretch. So, these pictures of her 2nd freshening udder are essentially what she should have had as a first freshener. I would like to see a higher rear udder, but the foreudder is what I have come to expect of Dewey daughters, and is so smoothly attached into the belly. Unfortunately, Biscotti did end up getting the rear legs toeing out from Dewey, but her kids this year do not, and I think as long as I breed her to bucks with good strong legs, that should not be an issue. She is a very short doe, but has wonderful body capacity and length of body.
