Kya is a 2nd freshener from my Sun Catcher T Pequot line, and was a keeper from the beginning. She has that soft pliable skin that I know this line for, with a lovely udder texture, and is easy to milk. She was milked as a first freshener, and we had no problems training her to the stand. She kidded easily both times. We ended up letting her dam raise this year, and she was a great mom, but she went right back to being milked when we weaned the baby. She is dry now. She’s a hard one for me to let go, but I have so many from that line, including her daughter from last year.
