I have loved Pequot from the very first. She was such a cute baby, and has matured into such a beautiful and sweet lady. She has an incredibly easy to milk udder, with good sized teats, and a buttery soft udder texture, that hasn’t toughened up even as she gets older. I was beyond ecstatic when she received a permanent LA score of VEEE 91. We are doing milk test for the first time in 2018, and she is on her way to earning her milk star. If she doesn’t make it, it is only because I am still trying to figure out what I’m doing, rather than any failing on her part. She has always been a wonderfully productive doe. To add to her accomplishments, she has also received her Superior Genetics designation in 2018. We did milk test again for 2021, and unfortunately she kidded with only a single, so I noticed her production was definitely lower than usual, though she still did well enough to get the milk star in butterfat. Lactation number for 2021 is wrong, it is actually her 9th lactation. I need to get CDCB to update that.
