I hadn’t intended to keep Honey. She’s a lovely girl, but I was trying to keep my numbers from getting too out of control. However, we lost 2 of my daughter’s 3 goats this year (they were never very robust, probably why the one was rejected by her dam at birth, the other was her daughter and always seemed frail), and I allowed her to pick 2 of mine to replace them. Honey is from a strong, long-lived line, and I expect good things from her in the coming years.
